Names Rolling Out From Epstein’s Client List

More than 900 pages of court documents were released Wednesday night from the investigation and trials surrounding former billionaire Jeffrey Epstein.

The Long Awaited List Has Been Released

Jeffrey Epstein‘s list of associates have partially been exposed after the New York Court unsealed first 40 documents, of around 250 that are expected to made public in the next couple of days. They largely mention figures whose names were already known, including high-profile friends of Epstein’s and victims who have spoken publicly.

The documents include references to a number of high profile individuals. Not all of those named are accused of wrongdoing.

The first 40 documents in the court-ordered release largely consisted of already public material revealed through nearly two decades of newspaper stories, TV documentaries, interviews, legal cases and books about the Epstein scandal.

The documents being unsealed are related to a lawsuit filed in 2015 by one of Epstein’s victims, Virginia Roberts Giuffre. She is one of dozens of women who sued Epstein for abusing them at his homes in Florida, New York, the U.S. Virgin Islands and New Mexico. This suit was against Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s former girlfriend and confidant who is now serving a 20-year prison term for helping recruit and abuse his victims.

More than 50 of the individuals had already been named publicly prior to the document release.

The files released by the court did not produce a “client list” detailing co-conspirators of Epstein.

The Big Names

Jeffrey Epstein‘s list of associates have partially been exposed after the New York Court unsealed first 40 documents, of around 250 that are expected to made public in the next couple of days. They largely mention figures whose names were already known, including high-profile friends of Epstein’s and victims who have spoken publicly.

The documents are being unsealed on a rolling basis, with two being held back until at least Jan 22. The records may include the names of those who worked for Epstein or only had weak ties to the financier as well as potential victims and witnesses. Appearing in the documents does not mean someone is connected to any wrongdoing.

The names of those mentioned so far in the documents range from politicians to Hollywood actors, including some of the nation’s most rich and powerful.

Epstein’s sexual offence conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell was named 849 times in the court documents.

Here’s how many times names have been mentioned:

Prince Andrew – 67

Alan Dershowitz – 100 times

Bill Clinton – 73 times

Donald Trump – 4 times

U.S. Presidents Donald Trump is named four times, including in an incident where Epstein reportedly contacted him after a plane diversion to Atlantic City. Johanna Sjoberg, a key figure in the testimony, recounted an occasion where Epstein called Trump and visited one of his casinos. She also clarified that she never gave Trump a massage.

David Copperfield – 6 times

In Hollywood, notable figures like George Lucas and Kevin Spacey are mentioned, but Sjoberg does not recall meeting them. Naomi Campbell and Michael Jackson are also named, with Jackson being mentioned twice.

Trump’s Involvement

According to a report published by The New York Times shortly after the documents were unsealed, Epstein was the only person who has been incriminated. As has long been expected, both former Presidents Donald Trump and Bill Clinton were named in the document – but neither was accused of any crime.

Trump’s appearance in the documents was particularly innocuous, coming up only as an offhand remark made by Epstein upon learning that his plane was making an unscheduled stop in Atlantic City, New Jersey. “Great, we’ll call up Trump,” Epstein allegedly said, adding that they should also make a stop at his casino.
