The Wall Street Journal obtained documents that show Reid Hoffman, a founder and former executive chairman of LinkedIn, made a trip to Epstein’s island in the Caribbean, Little St. James – also known as “pedophile island” where Epstein and his associates were accused of trafficking and sexually abusing underage girls.

Reid Hoffman, a graduate of Stanford University, cofounded professional networking site LinkedIn in 2003 and is a partner at venture capital firm Greylock Partners. In 2016, Hoffman sold LinkedIn to Microsoft for $26.2 billion in cash and joined Microsoft’s board.

Hoffman, 55, is also an investor in Airbnb, autonomous driving company Aurora (who acquired Uber’s self-driving unit). He’s part of the “PayPal Mafia” which was later sold to eBay, and was also an early investor in Facebook.

Joi Ito was a then-MIT Media Lab director, had asked Hoffman and Epstein to help him raise funds for MIT, according new documents obtained by The Journal. Ito also visited Epstein’s pedo island according to a report by The Wall Street Journal.

The report states that Hoffman’s trip was scheduled along with Joi Ito, then-director of MIT’s Media Lab. Ito had approached Epstein to raise money for MIT and scheduled the visit for March and November 2014.

According to documents obtained by the Journal, Hoffman was also invited to Epstein’s Manhattan townhouse in December 2014 to attend a breakfast party with Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates and others.

President Joe Biden has benefited from Hoffman’s lavish spending on campaign contributions, donating $1.5 million to a super PAC that supported Biden’s candidacy in the 2020 election as well as the maximum individual dollar amount allowed to Biden’s campaign, according to Federal Election Commission records.

According to White House visitor logs, Hoffman visited the White House five times last year. One of the visits appears to have been for the state dinner with French President Emmanuel Macron.

The other four trips were for meetings with Madeline Strasser, who at the time advised then-White House chief of staff Ron Klain; Kimberly Lang, who at the time was the executive assistant to Biden’s national security adviser; and Jordan Finkelstein, a special assistant to Biden and chief of staff to the president’s senior adviser.

Hoffman claims to have visited Epstein’s island only once, and he has expressed regret over associating himself with Epstein.

This admission came after a previous apology for “helping to repair” Epstein’s image by socializing with him after his 2019 arrest. Epstein had a long association with Ghislaine Maxwell, who in 2021 was convicted on federal charges of sex trafficking and conspiracy.

Hoffman Bankrolls Lawsuits Against Trump, Creates AI Chat Program

Despite his ties to Epstein, Hoffman has been active in the public eye and has bankrolled a lawsuit against former President Donald Trump by journalist E. Jean Carroll, who has accused him of rape.

In addition to supporting Carroll, Hoffman has supported several other women in their litigation against Trump.

Most recently Hoffman took a dig at Elon Musk for his stance on AI, after he launched his own AI chat program, Inflection AI. Inflection AI is founded by Hoffman and Google’s DeepMind co-founder Mustafa Suleyman.
