Gov. Newsom Knocks Kid Down On Pavement Then Hugs Him (Video)

Gov. Gavin Newsom, D-Calif., drew ridicule from social media users after a viral video showed him tripping on a kid while playing basketball in China.

Newsome Accidentally Knocks Kid Over

California Governor Gavin Newsom is in China this week and his trip obviously included some time to play pickup basketball with some small children.

Newsom dazzled on the court, spinning the ball on his finger before breaking out moves that can best be described as Business Casual Kryie.

The video showed Newsom dribbling and playing basketball with a group of Chinese students. While running, he ran into one student and fell on top of the boy.

Newsom quickly reached over, grabbed the boy and pulled him off, laughing and slapping the child’s backside in the process.

He and the boy soon get up as the Governor laughs it off and says, ‘I got you!’ and the boy chuckles as they get back on their feet.

Newsom met with China’s President Xi Jinping last week amid rumors he may be running a ‘shadow campaign’ to replace Joe Biden.

The trip to China kicked off on Monday in Hong Kong on a single mission to discuss global mandates and projects, even after eight California GOP House Members insisted that he cancel the trip.

Newsom became the first governor in more than four years to travel to China. He was also the first since 2017 to meet President Jinping, as the former Gov. Jerry Brown met with him last.

The CA Governor was criticized for showing off a $160,000 Chinese electric truck.

It’s no secret that Newsome’s Californians are fleeing the state due to high taxes, a homelessness crisis, soaring crime, and mass illegal immigration.

Newsom also made a surprise visit to Israel before his trip to China.

“As I reflect back on the extraordinary people I just met today in Israel, I am reminded of the deep connections between my home state and this country.

A country that has faced many dark times before, and certainly is in one now,” Newsom said in a statement earlier this month.
