BidenCash Exposes Millions of Stolen Credit Card Numbers

More than 2 million stolen credit card numbers have been exposed by Russian-language dark web carding marketplace BidenCash.

Massive Credit Card Data Breach

BidenCash, a criminal website that trades in stolen data using the president’s name and image, has recently exposed 2,165,700 credit and debit cards on the internet.

The site marked its first year of operation as an illegal marketplace for stolen financial credentials by promoting the substantial data leak on a subterranean cybercrime forum.

According to Cyble researchers who uncovered the data breach, it appears that BidenCash leveraged the stolen data dump to get attention for marketing purposes. They even used an image of President Biden as their brand identity.

The breach resulted in the release of sensitive information, including 740,858 credit card details, 811,676 debit card details, and 293 charge card details. The compromised data also included full names, expiration dates, CCV numbers, and unique email addresses.

What Got Exposed

Cyber attackers utilize this type of extensive data acquisition to launch subsequent attacks against you, utilizing the term “Fullz” within underground online forums and dark web marketplaces, where stolen personal information is bought and sold by cybercriminals.

“Fullz” is a set of comprehensive personal data belonging to unsuspecting victims that is often employed for fraudulent activities, including identity theft, credit card fraud, and other forms of financial scams.

According to Fox News, “Fullz” typically includes:

  • An individual’s full name
  • Date of birth
  • Social Security number
  • Address
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Bank account details
  • Credit card information
  • Other personally identifiable information

Cybercriminals can use this information to impersonate you, open fraudulent accounts under your name and make unauthorized transactions.

A Large Group of Crooks

Although it remains unclear how the BidenCash criminal website acquired such a vast number of active credit and debit cards, it stands as one of the most significant and dangerous underground data operations globally.

This recent breach serves as a poignant reminder of the persistent threat posed by cybercriminals and highlights the critical need for individuals to implement strong cybersecurity measures if they haven’t already done so.
