A man standing on his front porch in Philadelphia one evening, and was hit by at least 70 bullets during a shooting last week.

According to a local report, a Philadelphia man was hit by approximately 70 bullets in a shooting on Saturday night outside a residence, resulting in his death.
Philadelphia police stated that gunfire occurred in the Tioga neighborhood, specifically in the 3400 block of North 16th Street, just before midnight on Saturday night.
When responding to a report of a person with a gun, officers discovered the 25-year-old victim who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his body.
Dhalsim Jackson-Mayes, the victim, was quickly transported to Temple University Hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Man Shot 70 Times
FOX29 Philadelphia reported that the victim was shot more than 70 times while standing on the front porch of a home.
No arrests have been made and no weapon was found at the scene, according to police. The motive behind the shooting is currently being investigated.
Philadelphia’s Homicide Rate
According to police statistics as of Sunday, there have been 84 homicides in the city so far this year, marking a 17% decrease from the same period last year when there were 101 homicides. The city had a total of 516 reported homicides in 2022.
According to public police statistics as of Sunday, the number of shooting incidents citywide year-to-date was 571, with 294 shooting victims, marking a 25% decrease in both statistics compared to the previous year.
