Ghislaine Maxwell “You’re Fired”

According to a lawsuit filed on Monday, Ghislaine Maxwell has been fired from her trial lawyers, alleging Maxwell has unpaid legal fees totaling over $878,000 that are way overdue.

Law firm Haddon, Morgan, and Foreman, or HMF, is based out of Denver, Colorado, claims in a civil lawsuit that Maxwell’s brother tried to hide her true wealth and has not paid her overdue legal bills. The law firm has repeatedly requested payment from Maxwell and her family to pay for her bid to sue Jeffery Epstein’s estate.

The disgraced socialite filed a suit against Epstein’s estate in the Virgin Islands in March 2020, less than a year after his alleged prison cell suicide.

According to Maxwell’s lawsuit, Epstein promised to support her financially, which was a verbal and written promise for “‘indemnification for and advancement of attorneys’ fees, security costs, costs to find safe accommodation and all other expenses [she] has reasonably incurred and will incur by reason of her prior employment relationship with Jeffrey E. Epstein.’

More Legal Woes Around Maxwell

Ghislaine Maxwell’s brother Kevin Maxwell has also been named in the lawsuit, along with her estranged husband, Scott Borgerson. Kevin Maxwell strung along the lawyers who were demanding payment and made “false promises” that he had access to “ample cash and assets” to cover his sister’s legal fees.

Maxwell is “insolvent” following a series of “suspiciously timed property transfers” by her ex-husband Scott Borgerson, according to a complaint filed by her criminal defense team, Haddon, Morgan, and Foreman, P.C., August 22, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.

Reports state Kevin Maxwell has paid a “handful of sporadic payments,” including the last payment in January for $141,000.

Ghislaine Maxwell is also fighting civil suits brought forth by Epstein’s victims.

Ghislaine Maxwell

Ghislaine Maxwell, 60, is the ex-lover of sex trafficker, Jeffery Epstein and is currently serving out a 20-year sentence in a low-security prison in Tallahassee, Florida. Maxwell was convicted on five counts, including sex trafficking a minor.

Maxwell is rumored to have been married to Scott Borgerson in 2015. However, Borgerson tries to deny these allegations, though it was reported he dumped Ghislaine over the phone when she went to prison. Lawyers state Borgerson controlled Maxwell’s money and was responsible for delaying payments to the firm.

Maxwell has sixty days to respond and find new attorneys. It is unclear where she will find the money to pay them.
