‘Cartels Couldn’t Ask For a Better Partner in Crime than’ Biden

Mexican cartels are crossing the United States border in record numbers, causing violence. The GOP believes Biden is to blame.

Mexican Cartels Threat to the U.S.

On Sunday, the FBI announced that four Americans were kidnapped in Mexico after crossing the border from Texas, sparking concerns among Republicans about the increasing danger posed by Mexican cartels to the United States.

The individuals were last seen on Friday in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, a northern border city known for its violent drug cartel activity.

On Friday, “four Americans crossed into Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico driving a white minivan with North Carolina license plates. Shortly after crossing into Mexico, unidentified gunmen fired upon the passengers in the vehicle. All four Americans were placed in a vehicle and taken from the scene by armed men,” the FBI said in a statement.

The FBI is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the victims’ return and the arrest of the kidnappers.

Violence Among Immigrants

Last Friday, there were reports of several casualties in Tamaulipas state, but the local police did not disclose specific numbers or confirm any links between the incidents. The severity of the violence prompted the U.S. Consulate to issue a warning.

Some Republicans who spoke to Fox News Digital suggested that President Biden’s immigration policies were partly responsible for the abductions. They argued that the President’s lax approach to border enforcement has given Mexican cartels more confidence and power.

Nobody Better than Biden

“The cartels couldn’t ask for a better partner in crime than Joe Biden—his weakness allows them to operate unchecked,” Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., said. “President Biden needs to secure the border and declare war against the cartels to protect Americans from drugs and this bold-faced violence.”

“Mexico has become a captive narco state with compromised leaders,” Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., said. “But even corrupt Mexican officials don’t enrich the cartels as much as President Biden does. We will continue to see the cartels and thugs emboldened as Biden projects weakness.”
