Popular fast food chain McDonald’s will offer adult happy meals in October in collaboration with streetwear company Cactus Plant Flea Market.
Adult Happy Meals
McDonald’s just announced a new collaboration with Cactus Plant Flea Market (CPRM), a streetwear brand in fashion and culture, to help design their latest innovation – the adult happy meal.
The newly designed happy meal boxes will be released Monday, October 3rd, and are only available for a limited time while supplies last. The fast food restaurant chain will offer popular items like Big Macs and a 10-piece Chicken McNugget meal, which both come with fries and a drink.
The food will be served in a specially designed box and includes toys redesigned to look like the original famous mascots, including Grimace, Hamburglar, and Birdie, plus a new toy named Cactus Buddy.
According to an official release, Tariq Hassan, McDonald’s USA chief marketing and customer experience office said “We’re taking one of the most nostalgic McDonald’s experiences and literally repackaging it in a new way that’s hyper-relevant for our adult fans.”
Sources say the collaboration is a little unorthodox because of the design work of CPFM.
Cactus Plant Flea Market
Music artists Kanye West, Chance the Rapper, Drake, and Pharrell have all worn Cactus Plant Flea Market’s streetwear, which was founded in 2015 by Cynthia Lu. Lu and her brand is known for both innovative designs and epic partnerships.
The art designs from Cactus Plant Flea Market can be described as a “fluid and eccentric combination with playful graphic imagery.” Hoodies for the brand have sold for as much as $1,000 on sites like StockX.
Cactus Plant Flea Market has done high-profile deals, like the contract work with Nike in 2019.
CPFM’s designs for McDonald’s have all four characters seeing double — figuratively and literally — with four eyes on each figure. The new design is said to reignite a new generation’s love for McDonald’s food and the brand.
The ‘Happy’ Collaboration
McDonald’s fans who have the app, and order the new adult happy meal on the app will be entered to win exclusive merchandise for free, each week. The “merch” includes t-shirts, hoodies, 10 adult-sized Grimace chairs, and a custom McDonald’s sign from the set of their TV commercial.
There will be 362 winners in October.
If you don’t want to wait for the contest to hopefully win merchandise it will also be available exclusively on McDonald’s x Cactus Plant Flea Market’s site starting Oct. 3 at 11 a.m. EST. The collection will only be available during a limited-time window while supplies last.
Although adults have been jumping for joy after finding out they will have their own happy meal, many are scratching their heads wondering why the new trippy versions of American’s nostalgic favorite toys have four eyes.

The four eyes on the figures is an obvious attack on visually impaired people!
