A somewhat “famous” male teacher was seen out in public without his size Z prosthetic breasts, drawing plenty of seemingly unwanted attention.
Controversial Teacher Leaves Home
The transgender teacher in Canada, who made headlines after images emerged of him wearing giant prosthetic breasts during class, dressed as a man outside of school, according to reports.
Lemieux, an Oakville shop teacher, attracted international attention after showing up for class dressed in a wig, tights, glasses, and what were widely reported as prosthetic Z-cup breasts.
Parents have been outraged over the teacher being allowed to wear Z-cup prosthetics in front of students.
Questions about the teacher came to light after the New York Post published images it claimed were Lemieux without a wig, makeup, breasts, and other accouterments.
Lemieux told the Sun that picture was “not me.” His neighbors say he’s rarely seen with fake breasts and usually dresses in men’s clothing when he’s not at school. “He puts the breasts on to teach, occasionally when he goes for a walk or when the cops visit.”
The Teacher’s Explanation
Lemieux, who wears women’s clothing, a blond wig, makeup, and enormous prosthetic breasts, said she’s “not a transgendered person” but was born “intersex.”
“I’m not wearing prosthetic breasts. These are real,” Lemieux said to The New York Post. “My condition is classified as gigantomastia, which can also be referred to as macromastia or breast hypertrophy,” she claimed.
“It’s rare, there’s no doubt about it. It affects women on a very rare basis, but in my case, I believe, and my doctor thinks, because I have XX chromosomes as well, that has something to do with it, and hormone sensitivity to estrogen has caused it.”
Parents Speak Up
The Halton District School Board has yet to comment, but Students First Ontario, a parents group, said Lemieux’s comments might mean she can get around any future professional dress code since real breasts are not clothing.
Outraged parents demanded that the Halton District School Board impose a dress code for teachers, which was initially rejected last year due to concerns about violating Ontario’s Human Rights Code.
The teacher, who until a few years ago went by the name Kerry, left Ontario’s Oakville Trafalgar High School.
Lemieux sparked worldwide controversy when photos and videos went viral last year, shortly after working at a shop teacher at Ontario’s Oakville Trafalgar High School in September.
