In far west Texas, a 10-year-old Midland boy was killed by a Mexican man after he illegally entered the country after having been deported five times.

Illegal Alien Kills Boy After Entering US 5 Times

At about 4:35 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 8, the Texas Midland Police Department responded to a hit-and-run accident and detained a driver after he struck a juvenile with a truck.

The juvenile was attempting to cross the street after leaving school. The MPD later announced the victim of the hit-and-run was a 10-year-old boy. He was air-lifted to Lubbock and later died from his injuries.

Rogelio Ortiz-Olivas, who uses the name Juan Ortiz Perez, was first sent back to Mexico on a voluntary removal, then was deported five separate times following that. Otiz was confirmed by fingerprints taken during his first removal.

Ortiz is also facing a driving while intoxicated charge (DWI), according to the Midland County Sheriff’s Office website, although it’s unclear if this is concerning the hit-and-run.

IDEA Travis and the Midland Independent School District released a statement expressing their condolences following the “tragic” incident.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the student’s family and loved ones. Counselors will be providing mental health support for students and staff on campus. As the safety of our students continues to be our number one priority, we are urging drivers to exercise caution when pedestrians are present to prevent tragedies.”

There are an estimated 16.8 million illegal immigrants living in the U.S. as of June 2023, according to the Federation for American Immigration Reform. The Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) report for fiscal 2023 shows that the number of illegal immigrants on the non-detained docket has soared from 3.7 million in FY 2021 to nearly 4.8 million in FY 2022 to nearly 6.2 million in FY 2023.

Texas has made its own effort to secure the border and has seen results. Eagle Pass has seen a drop in illegals crossing the border since Governor Abbott locked down the border.

Tension between Texas and the Biden regime has heated up since January. 25 States have expressed support for Texas’ efforts to protect their own border.

As of Friday morning, Ortiz is still being held in Midland County Jail on an immigration detainer for charges of a collision involving serious bodily injury.

  1. This poor little boy doing nothing wrong and this scumbag criminal kills him. I wish his family could sue Biden personally for millions. This is clearly on Biden inviting all these illegals into our country. Inciting them with VISA cards and plane tickets. If this had been Trump they would want him charged with murder. So tired of these disgusting hypocrites.
