A daredevil climber fell to his death from a high-rise building in Hong Kong after last being seen knocking on a window on the 68th floor.
Climber Fell To His Death
A French daredevil has died after falling off a residential skyscraper in Hong Kong.
French thrill seeker and Instagram star Remi Lucidi arrived at the Tregunter Tower in Hong Kong’s Mid-Levels area on Thursday evening after telling a security guard he was visiting a friend.
He fell 721ft to his death when police arrived – officers found his camera, containing video of extreme sports.
Lucidi, 30, was seen by a building worker knocking outside the window, suggesting he may have been trapped and asking for help.
CCTV footage revealed he took the lift to the 49th floor and then the stairs to level 68 before forcing open the door to the rooftop.
A maid in the building reportedly alerted the police upon seeing Lucidi outside the window.
Fans Express Their Sadness
Fans took to his account to pay tribute and express their shock and sadness. “Bro went out doing what he loved! He lived his life fully. Not many can say that,” said one.
Gurjit Kaur, the hostel’s owner where Lucidi was staying, described him as a “friendly and humble guy.”
He said: “He was healthy and fit and happy-faced. I feel very sad.”
Daredevil’s Journey
The daredevil shares his journey in photos.
In one shot in Gabrovo, Bulgaria, he is seen balancing on a metal ladder with one hand and one foot while taking a picture of himself with a selfie stick using the other hand, with the Bulgarian countryside far below.
