Soccer Coach Recorded Himself Raping Drugged Boys

A youth soccer coach was arrested after forgetting a phone at a restaurant containing videos of the rapes of at least ten boys.

Coach Left His Cell Phone With Videos At Restaurant

Camilo Hurtado Campos, described as a “popular” coach from Franklin, Tenn., left his cellphone behind at a local restaurant.

A customer retrieved the device and handed it over to the staff, according to Franklin police.

Videos of the rapes of 10 unconscious boys were found on the cellphone of the soccer coach.

They discovered “unconscionable videos” on the phone, the police said, and contacted police, who traced it to the suspect.

Detectives combing through videos and photos on the phone saw ten victims, two of whom have been identified with the help of local schools, the police department said.

Innocent Boys Drugged

Franklin Police Department detectives said many victims are Hispanic, and some were in such an unconscious state that they may not realize they were raped.

Only two victims are identified in the investigation so far.

Police say they are working to identify all of the victims and hope people who know Campos can help identify the remaining victims.

Coach Committed Crimes For Over 20 Years

The Franklin Police Department said Camilo Hurtado Campos allegedly recorded himself raping unconscious boys.

The boys were between the ages of 9 and 17 over 20 years.

The 63-year-old soccer coach has lived in Franklin for the last 20 years, split between two neighborhoods: Hill Estates and, most recently, on Glass Lane in the downtown Franklin area.

During off-hours, Campos frequented nearby school playgrounds in both neighborhoods. There, he approached kids and recruited them as players on his team.

After gaining their trust, Campos invited many kids to his home, where he drugged and raped them.

Police hope that those familiar with Campos can help them put a name with the faces of the remaining victims.
