Forbes’s 41st annual Richest People list was released which disclosed that Elon Musk topped the charts, and is richer than Jeff Bezos.

Forbes released their 2022 Richest People list that revealed there are 2,668 billionaires in the world, which is about 87 less than just a year ago.
One thousand more billionaires were richer than the year before, and 236 billionaires had never been on the list before. Rihanna and Peter Jackson are among the newcomers this year.
America leads the world with the most billionaires at 735 and has an estimated worth of about $4.7 trillion. In second place is China, with 607 billionaires worth $2.3 trillion.
The 400 richest Americans in the United States are primarily self-made and do not include inheritance.

Biggest Changes
According to the list, the most dramatic drops occurred in Russia, which showed 34 fewer billionaires than in 2021, and in China which had 87 fewer billionaires on the list.
For the first time since 2015, Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg did not make it to the top 10, who currently “only” has $76.8 billion.
The billionaires on the list are worth a collective $12.7 trillion—$400 billion less than in 2021.
