Have some leftover dipping cups from Chick-fil-A in the fridge? You might wanna toss that sauce.
Chick-fil-A is warning customers that a recent batch of Polynesian Sauce cups may contain another sauce altogether, posing the risk of allergic reaction.
“Please discard any Polynesian Sauce dipping cups that you may have taken home between February 14-27, 2024,” reads a message posted to the Chick-fil-A website. “The Polynesian Sauce dipping cups may contain a different sauce that includes wheat and soy allergens.”
The restaurant is also informing customers of the mix-up with in-restaurant signage. Chick-fil-A is also targeting its One Rewards program via the Chick-fil-A app, if they were shown to have placed orders between Feb. 14–27.
Chick-fil-A did not initially say which sauce the affected Polynesian Sauce dipping cups actually contained, but ultimately disclosed that the product inside was Sweet and Spicy Sriracha. The restaurant’s website indicates that Sweet and Spicy Sriracha is the only dipping sauce on the menu that contains both wheat and soy allergens.

Chick-fil-A’s Polynesian sauce, which debuted in 1984 alongside its Honey Mustard and Barbeque sauces, is described by Chick-fil-A as “a delicious sweet and sour sauce with a strong, tangy flavor.”
While a popular sauce option at Chick-fil-A, the restaurant claims Polynesian Sauce is not the most requested choice among customers: That honor belongs to Chick-Fil-A Sauce, which the company has previously revealed to be a blend of honey mustard, barbecue and ranch.
